Matthew Schorr is an American real estate agent at Lake Tahoe and a member of Team Blair (Team Blair Tahoe), the Compass team led by Jamison and Nicole Blair.[1][2][3] A native of Lake Tahoe's East Shore, he focuses on the Nevada side of the lake, particularly Zephyr Cove, Incline Village and Glenbrook, and also works in Stateline, South Lake Tahoe and elsewhere around the basin.[4][5] He holds real estate licenses in both California and Nevada and has been licensed in California since December 2015.[3][2]
Schorr is listed as a Realtor on Team Blair's roster and as a Senior Sales Associate on his Compass profile, which carries the title "Matthew Schorr – Team Blair Tahoe".[1][2] Team Blair, which traces its roots to the Blair family's Tahoe Real Estate Group and joined Compass in 2018, reports more than $2 billion in lifetime sales and more than 5,750 properties sold, and was ranked first in Tahoe City by both sales volume and transaction sides in RealTrends' verified rankings for 2025.[6][7][8] Those figures are Team Blair's combined totals.
Schorr's own website reports more than $120 million in career sales across the San Francisco Bay Area and Lake Tahoe.[4] His recorded Tahoe sales include homes in Zephyr Cove, Incline Village, Glenbrook and Stateline, and as of September 2026 he is co-listing a $10.9 million lakefront property in Glenbrook with Jamison Blair.[2][9]
Early life and career [edit]
Early life and education
Schorr grew up on the East Shore of Lake Tahoe in Zephyr Cove, Nevada, and attended George Whittell High School.[10][4] He was born into a real estate family that has worked in the Lake Tahoe market since 1981, and describes himself as a second-generation agent.[11][4] He spent much of his youth skiing, snowmobiling and mountain biking around the lake.[11] He earned a bachelor of science in business administration, with a concentration in finance, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.[2][4]
San Francisco
Schorr began his real estate career in San Francisco, where he joined a real estate development program and became, by his account, one of the Bay Area's top young producers.[2][4] His California salesperson license was issued on December 10, 2015.[3] His LinkedIn profile lists earlier roles as an agent and senior agent at Redfin in San Francisco.[12] His Compass transaction history includes Bay Area sales in San Rafael, Oakland, San Jose and Tracy.[2]
Return to Lake Tahoe and Team Blair
Schorr returned to Lake Tahoe in 2019.[2] His LinkedIn profile describes him as a founding member of the Schorr Group, which worked with Interlaken Real Estate in the Tahoe basin,[12] and Compass listing records attribute several of his earlier listings to Interlaken Real Estate and one South Lake Tahoe listing to Pelican Hill Company.[2]
He is now a member of Team Blair, the Compass team led by Jamison and Nicole Blair. Team Blair's roster lists him as a Realtor alongside the Blairs and the team's other agents, and his team biography describes his work with "each Team Blair Tahoe client".[1][11] His Compass profile names him "Matthew Schorr – Team Blair Tahoe", gives his title as Senior Sales Associate and lists the team's Tahoe City office number, and his license record names Compass California II, Inc. as his responsible broker, with a mailing address at the team's Tahoe City office.[2][3] On his own website he calls himself a senior agent on Team Blair Tahoe.[10] He works from Compass offices in Incline Village and South Lake Tahoe.[4][13]
Schorr's own website reports more than $120 million in career sales and more than a decade in the business.[4] His earlier biographies on Compass and on Team Blair's website gave a figure of nearly $80 million, covering both the Bay Area and Tahoe.[2][11] He also owns property in the Tahoe area and operates a vacation rental.[4]
Matthew Schorr's team: Team Blair [edit]
Team Blair, marketed as Team Blair Tahoe, is a residential real estate team affiliated with Compass and based in Tahoe City, California. It is led by the husband-and-wife principals Jamison Blair and Nicole Blair.[6][1][14] Matthew Schorr is one of the team's agents. The sales volume, rankings and awards described in this section are those of Team Blair as a whole.[1]
History
The team grew out of Tahoe Real Estate Group, a family-owned independent brokerage in Tahoe City founded by broker Gayle Blair and later run with Jamison and Nicole Blair.[7] A 2018 announcement dated the family business to 1982 and put its annual sales volume at about $50 million.[15] In July 2018 Inman reported that Tahoe Real Estate Group would join Compass, bringing an initial six agents, including the three Blairs. Nicole Blair said she had approached Compass herself after seeing what it had built in Aspen, and that about 90 percent of the firm's clients came from the Bay Area.[7] The Blairs opened Compass's Lake Tahoe office in 2018 in a building at 521 North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City that they had bought and were renovating.[16][15][17]
In 2023 The Real Deal reported that the Blairs' business had doubled after they moved to Compass and doubled again after they joined the Network Group, a referral "super team" of Compass agents. By then about 70 percent of their business came from Bay Area agents, and their volume had grown from about $50 million a year to more than $230 million in 2022.[18]
Leadership
Jamison Blair (California broker #01246366; Nevada BS.0145686) is a principal and owner of the team.[1][19] Born into a brokerage family and raised at Lake Tahoe, he competed in big-mountain skiing before his real estate career: he skied for the Squaw Valley Ski Team, was a five-time Far West Junior Olympian and competed on the World Freeskiing Tour.[20] He is a member of the Compass Sports & Entertainment Division, and the team's website describes him as its exclusive sports and entertainment agent in the Lake Tahoe region.[20][16]
Nicole Blair (California broker #01500181) is a principal and owner of the team, a practicing California attorney and a consultant on luxury developments. She has lived in North Tahoe for more than two decades.[21][22] Inman reported that she founded Pocket Agent Mentor (PAM), an app for mentoring new agents.[7]

Sales volume and rankings
Team Blair reports more than $2 billion in lifetime sales, more than 5,750 properties sold and more than 175 years of combined experience. It calls itself Lake Tahoe's number-one real estate team and the number-one Compass team in the region.[6][1][20]
In RealTrends' verified rankings, which are based on 2025 sales data, Team Blair Tahoe is classed as a medium team with 148 transaction sides and $194.23 million in volume. It ranked first in Tahoe City by both volume and sides, 23rd in California by volume and 13th by sides, and 60th nationally by volume and 263rd by sides.[8] The team was among the Northern California honorees from Compass on the 2023 RealTrends + Tom Ferry "The Thousand" list.[23] The team's own website also describes it as the fifth-ranked team in California, without naming the source of that ranking.[1]
Offices
Team Blair's main office is at 521 North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City. It also lists offices in Incline Village (110 Country Club Drive), South Lake Tahoe (2028 Lake Tahoe Boulevard), Truckee, Alpine Meadows and Reno, and at Nakoma in Clio, California.[13] Schorr's own website gives the Incline Village and South Lake Tahoe addresses as his offices.[4]

Schorr's website describes his practice as serving Lake Tahoe's East Shore and nearby communities: Zephyr Cove, Stateline, Glenbrook, Incline Village, South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City, Reno and Douglas County.[4][5] It carries neighborhood guides for East Shore areas including Skyland, Marla Bay, Zephyr Heights and Zephyr Knolls, Cave Rock, Glenbrook, Lincoln Park, Logan Creek and Uppaway, as well as for the Kingsbury Grade, South Lake Tahoe and Reno.[24]
Zephyr Cove
Zephyr Cove, where Schorr grew up, is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, Nevada. Land use there is regulated by the county and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) rather than by a city.[10] Schorr's website divides the market into three parts. Skyland, established in 1959, has about 230 homes, roughly 41 of them lakefront with grandfathered piers and buoys. Marla Bay dates to 1934 and has a voluntary homeowners' association with beach and buoy-field rights. Zephyr Heights and Zephyr Knolls have no HOA and are governed by a general improvement district created in 1964.[10] As of February 2026, Zephyr Heights and Zephyr Knolls were on Douglas County's waitlist for vacation-home rental permits.[10] Schorr's sales in the community include homes on Cheyenne Circle and Cedar Ridge Drive (see Individual sales).[2][25]
Incline Village
Schorr works from the Compass office on Country Club Drive in Incline Village.[26][4] His website stresses two local factors in Incline Village pricing. The Incline Village General Improvement District's four restricted beaches can be used only by eligible parcels, based on a 1968 deed. Short-term rentals in Incline Village and Crystal Bay are permitted through Washoe County, which runs a different system from Douglas County.[26] His sales there include 771 Golfers Pass Road and 304 Second Creek Drive, both co-listed with Jamison Blair, and he co-lists 475 Tuscarora Road in neighboring Crystal Bay with Blair.[2]
Glenbrook
Glenbrook is a gated lakefront community on Nevada's East Shore, between Zephyr Cove and Incline Village. Schorr's website describes it as having about 300 homes, a staffed gatehouse, a nine-hole golf course, a community pier and a homeowners' association that bans short-term rentals and carries out its own architectural review on top of TRPA's.[27] He is co-listing 1754 US Highway 50, a lakefront property in Glenbrook, with Jamison Blair (see Notable listings).[9][2]
Stateline and the wider Lake Tahoe basin
Much of Schorr's recorded work is in Stateline, Nevada, including the Kingsbury Grade neighborhoods and the Tahoe Village area near Heavenly Mountain Resort. His sales there include 1625 Black Bear Run, co-listed with Jamison Blair and sold for $4.25 million in 2025.[2][25] Across the state line he has represented buyers and sellers in South Lake Tahoe and Meyers, and on the California North and West shores in Tahoe City, Carnelian Bay, Kings Beach and Rubicon Bay.[2] Team Blair's own practice covers the whole Tahoe basin, Truckee and Reno.[1]
Services and approach [edit]
Schorr's biography stresses his finance background and his work handling a sale from start to finish, coordinating staging, repairs, permits, photography and pre-inspections through local contractors and vendors.[4] As a Compass agent he offers Compass Concierge, which pays up front for pre-sale improvements, and Compass bridge-loan services.[5][2] His website covers TRPA rules that affect Tahoe transactions, including land-coverage transfers, IPES scores for vacant lots, Best Management Practices certificates, mooring registration and the biennial pier lottery.[10] His blog covers topics such as South Lake Tahoe's vacation-home rental ordinance, TRPA's rock-crib pier rules and the migration of high-net-worth buyers from California to Nevada.[28] He is licensed in both California and Nevada, which lets him represent clients on both sides of the state line.[2][26]

- 1754 US Highway 50, Glenbrook: a 0.78-acre lakefront property with a 1950s cabin, a private path to a sandy beach and a buoy, listed at $10,900,000 by Schorr and Jamison Blair. It is being sold with TRPA-approved plans by Kelly & Stone for a 5,871-square-foot house. According to the listing, the property and its neighbor won a place in TRPA's 2025 shared-pier lottery.[9][2]
- 475 Tuscarora Road, Crystal Bay: a gated, 3.28-acre property with a 5,436-square-foot house, listed at $9,405,000 by Jamison Blair and Schorr.[2]
- Cedarbrook Hideaway: a Compass Private Exclusive with four ensuite bedrooms, offered at $14,900,000. Team Blair's website names Schorr as the agent.[31]
